SF-SI40 silane can be used alone, diluted, or used as a component in formulated products. Used in natural stone or other building materials, it can form silica sol similar to inorganic substance (SiO2) to enhance the strength of the substrate.
SF-SI40 can be polymerized and reacted into silicone resins for use in varnishes or other surface modifiers.
SF-SI40 can be used as a sol-gel intermediate. It can be used as a two - component room temperature vulcanizing silicone rubber crosslinking agent.
In glass and plastic lens materials, SF-SI40 provides a super hard scratch resistant coating.
