Short Description:

SSP-200 Series are formaldehyde-free fluorescent pigments with fine particle size, good brightness and limited washing-fastness for applications like textile printings, water- based coatings and artist paints. SSP- 200 can meet requirements for no formaldehyde content and make the use much

greener.

Lightfastness:

Fluorescent pigments are stable to indoor light or outdoor conditions without direct sunlight. By exposure to outdoor sunlight the color will change, whereby the degree of fading is depending on following factors:

■ Color of the pigment   ■Type of polymer carrier ■ Intensity of the incident sunlight.

■ Pigment loading and thickness of the end product. The higher the pigment concentration is, the better the lightfastness is.

The lightfastness may be improved by including UV– absorber(s) in the formulation and/or by making use of clear overcoats containing

UV-absorber(s).

Special features:

SSP-200 Pigments offer uncompromising performance of traditional fluorescent pigments and do not contain the following chemicals:

• Formaldehyde
• Amines Derived from Azocolourants and Azodyes
• Chlorinated Benzenes and Toluenes
• Nonylphenol (NP) and Octylphenol (OP)
• Nonylphenol Ethoxylates(NPEO)and Octylphenol Ethoxylates(OPEO)
• Pentachlorophenol (PCP)
• Tetrachlorophenol (TeCP)
• Trichlorophenol (TriCP)
• Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs)
• Phthalate
• Extractable Heavy Metals

Storage

SSP-200 Series fluorescent pigments are delivered in bags with PE lining, net weight 25kg. It should be kept in cool place and away from heat. All opened bags should be carefully resealed immediately after use.

Toxicity:

SSP-200 Series fluorescent pigments are essentially non-toxic and non-hazardous with extremely low heavy-metal content. Material safety data sheet (MSDS) is available upon request.
